Editors

James H. Taylor (Managing Editor) is the author of three collections of experimental short fiction: Sleeping Life and Other Stories (Sweetgum Press 2019), Everyday Wonder or The Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog (Sweetgum Press 2010), and Honeysuckle and Other Stories (Cave Hollow Press 2002). He became an editor-in-residence for Cave Hollow Press shortly after his book was published and in 2003 joined the press as a permanent editor. He is a professor of physics at the University of Central Missouri (UCM), and has had articles published in Physical Review (U.S.), Physica (Netherlands), Il Nuovo Cimento (Italy), and Missouri Journal of Mathematical Sciences.

R. M. Kinder is the author of two novels, The Universe Playing Strings (U of New Mexico 2016) and An Absolute Gentleman (Counterpoint 2007); and two short-fiction collections, A Near-Perfect Gift (U of Michigan Press 2005) and Sweet Angel Band (Helicon Nine Editions 1991). Kinder’s A Common Person and Other Stories is forthcoming Spring 2021 from University of Notre Dame Press as winner of the Sullivan Prize for Short Fiction sponsored by the university’s Creative Writing, Department of English. She is co-author, with Kristine Lowe-Martin, of Old-Time Fiddling: Hal Sappington, Missouri Fiddler, a dual-media biography (56 music videos included), published by the Johnson County Historical Society 2012. She is editor emerita of Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing at the University of Central Missouri, where she also coordinated the creative writing program. Her poems, fiction, and non-fiction have appeared in numerous publications. She is also a photographer, videographer, and illustrator.She created the logo for Cave Hollow Press.

G. B. Crump is professor emeritus of English at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) and author of The Novels of Wright Morris: A Critical Interpretation (University of Nebraska Press, 1979), as well as a number of critical articles. He has served as an editorial assistant and later editorial reader for The D. H. Lawrence Review, and he has been the editor of The Publications of the Missouri Philological Association. At UCM he served as fiction editor of Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing. He continues to work with that journal, particularly as judge of the annual G. B. Crump Prize for Experimental Fiction.

Georgia Nagel (Consulting Editor/ Website Coordinator) is an award-winning author of fiction under various pen names. She served as an associate editor for Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing from 2001-2005. She has a BA in Creative Writing with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri (UCM). Her work as Renee Nagel has appeared on Inkspot.com, on Laurel Leighden Calligraphy, Inc. products, and in Central's Women's History Month Writing Project. She was the recipient of Central's Outstanding Writer: Writing Across the Curriculum Award (UCM 2002). She illustrated the fiction in 5MII: Triskaideka (Cave Hollow Press 2005), Murder, Mystery, Magic, Madness and Mayhem (Cave Hollow Press 2003) and cover art for Honeysuckle and Other Stories(Cave Hollow Press 2002).
